The natural masonry finish includes some small air bubbles and other normal imperfections that occur with concrete. We supply a cure guide, so you know how long to leave your fire before you apply your final finish.
After the fire is installed, and used as per our cure guide, then you can finish your fire how you like. Popular finishes are plaster and painted to suit your property, or schist.
Flare Fires are made from solid masonry which polish up beautifully. A popular option is to polish the top of the wood boxes to provide a clean food prep surface and a contrasting break to the design.
The Modern Polish option embraces the natural imperfections inherent in concrete to create a timeless look.
The Modern Polish is a salt n’ pepper like finish applied to just the tops of the woodboxes. This is our most popular look because of the clean lines and nice preparation surface. This option costs $495 on a Premier Fire and $595 on a Senator or Executive.
Most people like this look so much they don’t bother finishing the fire with plaster and paint, however the fire can be painted or stoned once cured.
The Traditional Polish is our original polish option. It takes a lot longer to complete as we aim for that perfect polished look, with few imperfections.
The Traditional Polish has a deeper cut which delivers a traditional polished concrete look to the tops and fronts of the woodboxes. This option costs $995 on a Premier Fire and $1,195 on a Senator or Executive.
Many people choose this option because they want a premium quality look. Often fires with this polish are plastered and painted to create a perfect finish.
